The choice of cable category depends on current and future data transfer rate requirements. Cables of category 5e and 6 provide applications up to one gigabit per second, cables of category 6a, 7, and 7a provide up to ten gigabits per second. For one pair of category 7a, it is possible to transmit the whole range of cable television channels, which may be required when creating a cable system with universal lines.
The main reference point is given by the recommendations of standards: in offices - no lower than category 5e; in the data center, in health care and education institutions - no lower than category 6a, in private homes for the subsystem “broadcasting and communication technologies” - category 7a. Since the wave resistance of the twisted pair and the coaxial is different, for such a connection at both ends of the line will require wave adapters 100 Ohm / 75 Ohm with the appropriate connectors.
In the backbone subsystem, the principle of universality does not apply; various types of cables are required for the operation of information and voice applications./span>
Unshielded SCS ensures high quality of transmitted signals with a small length of lines. If the length of the lines is 70-90 meters, a shielded system with a good reserve of parameters is desirable. The choice of shielded SCS provides data protection from external interference, solving the problem of intercable interference, reducing the effects of power wiring.
At installation of SKS it is required to follow the rules of laying power and low-current cables. Power surges cause unwanted pickups of local networks. Competent design and control during installation ensures compliance with the minimum allowable distance joint gasket. The value of the minimum allowable distance is determined taking into account:
- electromagnetic protection class of low voltage cables
- type metal cable channels
- the number of power cables and current values.
At the same time, it is necessary to observe the grounding rules for trays when crossing partitions, cable bend radii, permissible filling of cable channels and other requirements of the standards for the design, installation and administration of SCS.
Network construction - operational phase
Creating cable infrastructure can take several days, weeks or months. The contractor performs the installation, eliminates hidden defects revealed by testing, transfers the system to the Customer.
The operation phase, during which the network is being built and modified, lasts years. Generations of computers are changing, the performance of network devices is growing. Data transfer rates increase many times, which increases the load on the network. The durability of the network is ensured by its redundancy, reliability depends on the quality of materials and quality of installation.

The quality of installation can be judged by the reserve parameters. Testing gives an objective confirmation of each parameter of each line. We perform installation of SCS in strict accordance with the standards, taking into account all requirements for permissible filling of cable channels, taking into account permissible loads of trays, observing the requirements of electromagnetic compatibility when laying cables, install telecommunication grounding systems in all SCS regardless of the presence of shielded lines.

Electric installation work
Installation of SCS in most cases requires electrical work. Every workplace requires computer sockets. Often, in addition to them, household sockets are provided that are connected to their own group lines. Overhaul includes installation of lighting systems.
