Cable category selection depends on current and future data rate requirements. Category 5e and 6 cables provide applications up to one gigabit per second, category 6a, 7 and 7a cables – up to ten gigabits per second. One pair of category 7a can transmit the entire range of cable television channels, which may be required when creating a cable system with universal lines.
The main guideline is given by the recommendations of the standards: in offices – not lower than category 5e; in data centers, healthcare and education institutions – not lower than category 6a, in private homes for the "broadcasting and communication technologies" subsystem; – category 7a. Since the characteristic impedance of twisted pair and coax is different, 100 ohm / 75 ohm wave adapters with appropriate connectors are required for such a connection at both ends of the line.
The principle of universality does not apply in the backbone subsystem, different types of cables are required for data and voice applications.
Unshielded SCS provides high quality of transmitted signals with small line lengths. If the line length is 70-90 meters, a shielded system with a good reserve of parameters is desirable. Choosing a shielded SCS provides data protection from external interference, solving the problem of inter-cable interference, and reducing the effects of power wiring.
When installing the SCS, you must follow the rules for laying power and low-current cables. Voltage fluctuations cause unwanted interference from local networks. Competent design and control during the installation process ensures that the minimum allowable distances for joint installation are observed. The value of the minimum allowable distance is determined taking into account:
- Electromagnetic protection class of low current cables
- metal cable duct type
- Number of power cables and current values.
In this case, it is required to comply with the rules for grounding trays when crossing partitions, cable bending radii, permissible filling of cable channels and other requirements of SCS design, installation and administration standards.< /p>
Building – operation phase
Establishing a cable infrastructure can take days, weeks, or months. The contractor performs the installation, eliminates hidden defects identified by testing, and transfers the system to the Customer.
The operational phase, during which the network is built and modified, lasts for years. MGenerations of computers are changing, the performance of network devices is growing. Data transfer rates increase many times, which increases the load on the network. The durability of the network is ensured by its redundancy, reliability depends on the quality of materials and the quality of installation.
IBSystems Group installation teams are highly qualified and have extensive practical experience. Knowledge of the subject, control of hidden work at all stages allow us to ensure the quality of cable systems.
The quality of editing can be judged by the reserve of parameters. Testing gives objective confirmation of each parameter of each line. We carry out the laying of SCS in strict accordance with the standards, taking into account all the requirements for the permissible filling of cable channels, taking into account the permissible loads of the trays, in compliance with the requirements of electromagnetic compatibility when laying cables, we install telecommunication grounding systems in all SCS, regardless of the presence of shielded lines. span>
An important point is to comply with the SCS administration requirements, which ensures the convenience of network operation.
Certified SCS manufactured by Panduit (USA), Nexans IES (UK), Nexans CS (France), Molex PN (USA), Eurolan Solution AB (Sweden) are guaranteed for a period of 25 years.
Our experience – implemented projects of various scales, simple and complex. We carry out installation of SCS at facilities in Kyiv and beyond. The site contains a large number of photos of the creation of cable infrastructure in the "How we work" section.
Electrical work
Installation of SCS in most cases requires electrical work. Every workplace requires computer sockets. Often, in addition to them, household sockets are provided that are connected to their own group lines. The overhaul includes the installation of lighting systems.
Electrical work performed by IBSystems Group includes installation of mains and uninterruptible power supply systems, working, emergency and emergency lighting systems.
- Separation of power and low current wiring
- Workspace with designer lighting, power and SCS
- Location of power and low-voltage sockets in a telecommunications mini-column
- Typical office with plastic cable ducts
- Secretary's workplace.
